Lennox-BoydFrom information received by my right hon. and noble Friend the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations, I understand that 86 Nyasaland Africans have been 33W arrested on charges of contravening Section 9 (A) of the Southern Rhodesia Unlawful Organisations Act. I am informed by the Governor of Nyasaland that his Government's representative in Salisbury is making inquiries. The representative has been in communication with the Southern Rhodesia authorities and is taking all possible steps to safeguard the interests of those who have been charged. He has attended a number of the trials.
