§ 89. Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Works if he is aware of the concern of local authorities, and of the Leyton Borough Council in particular, at the frequently unsatisfactory manner in which contractors instructed by his Department remove temporary bungalows; and if he will instruct these contractors to remove debris and foundations in accordance with the wishes of the local authority, and to avoid noisy operations on Sundays.
§ Mr. MolsonI have recently dealt in full with complaints of the Leyton Borough Council in a letter to the hon. Member. Sunday work has been stopped and my officials are doing all they can to enforce the terms of the contracts. Complaints from other local authorities have been few.
