§ THE MARQUESS OF EXETERasked Her Majesty's Government whether they are satisfied that it is not possible to acquire highly concentrated and dangerous drugs, to be diluted for agricultural sprays and dressings, without control, therefore nullifying the regulations governing the sale of dangerous drugs.
EARL BATHURSTUnder the Poisons Rules the dangerous substances used in agriculture and horticulture may only be sold by an authorised seller of poisons to a person known to the seller, or certified in writing, to be a person to whom the substance may properly be sold, and the purchaser must sign the seller's register or give a signed order in a prescribed form. These restrictions do not apply to sales to retailers or manufacturers. Her Majesty's Government have no reason to think that they are insufficient or are not properly enforced.
House adjourned at nine minutes past six o'clock.
