Mr. Haymanasked the President of the Board of Trade what consideration he has given to the effects on the Cornish pilchard industry of the commencement of the dumping of Californian canned pilchards in this country; and what action he proposes to take to safeguard the industry from damage through these and other imports of the same kind.
§ Sir D. EcclesI have no evidence to suggest that Californian canned pilchards are likely to be dumped in the United Kingdom but would of course be glad to consider any information that the domestic industry can bring forward on this matter.
