§ Mr. WatkinsonI am satisfied that the double white line road markings are improving traffic behaviour and promoting the smoother and safer movement of traffic. Guidance to the motoring public has been given by explanatory signs on the roads and by local and national publicity in the Press, and full details are contained in the new Highway Code approved by Parliament which I hope will be on sale in the late autumn.
