§ Mr. MaclayI have decided to set up a Standing Consultative Council for Youth Service with the following remit
To secure the greatest possible measure of consultation and co-ordination, both nationally and locally, among the statutory authorities and voluntary organisations engaged in youth service, and to promote the development of the service.The Council will be representative of the statutory and voluntary bodies working in this field, and I shall announce its membership as soon as possible.
