Mrs. Butlerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what progress has been made in discussions with local authorities on the disposal of radioactive waste; and what arrangements have been made for him to discuss with local authorities their responsibilities for other aspects of the protection of the public against radioactive hazards.
§ Mr. H. BrookeThe discussions referred to in my reply to the hon. Member on 30th June are now in progress. In the course of them, the associations of local authorities have been given an opportunity to raise with my Department, and with the other Government Departments concerned, the matters referred to in the second part of the Question.
