§ 63. Mr. Leaveyasked the President of the Board of Trade what was the daily average attendance of visitors to the Design Centre in the month of June.
§ Mr. J. RodgersI understand that in June, daily attendances averaged 1,832 which compares with an average of 1,691 in June, 1958. The average daily attendance for the first six months of this year was 2,073.
§ 64. Mr. Leaveyasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is satisfied that sufficient use is being made of the record of designers kept by the Council of Industrial Design.
§ Mr. J. RodgersI understand that in the Financial Year 1958, 758 inquiries were addressed to the Council for the names of industrial designers for specific 95W purposes. I regard this as encouraging evidence of the value placed by the public on this part of the Council's services.
