§ 42. Mr. Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware of the growing practice of paying large tax-free compensation grants to former company directors and executives; and, as this practice causes industrial unrest among manual, technical, and other types of workers, whether he will take the necessary action in his forthcoming Budget to prevent this practice.
