§ Mr. Mossasked the Paymaster-General what opencast operations, apart from the Polesworth Abbey site which he has authorised, are proceeding in the Dordon and Polesworth area of the county of Warwick, and by what authority; what directions he has given, designating what land as land on which prospecting for minerals may be carried out; and what proportion of such land has already been the subject of opencast coalmining.

HorobinNo other opencast production operations are proceeding in the Dordon-Polesworth area, but directions for prospecting have been given in respect of 62½ acres at Boot Site and 67 acres at the Orchard Site. About seven acres of the Orchard Site have already been subject to opencast operations.
