asked the President of the Board of Trade what action he took to inform the Caltex Petroleum Company of the facilities available on the Isle of Sheppey, when their proposal to build a refinery at Southampton was opposed.

As the application by Caltex (U.K.) Limited for planning permission for their oil refinery at Warsash will be the subject of a public inquiry, it would not be appropriate at this stage to call the company's attention to facilities available elsewhere.
