§ 57. Mr. Lewisasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that attempts are being made in the United States of America by business interests and politicians to bring pressure to bear on the United States Government to cancel the £4,000,000 contract awarded by the Tennessee Valley Authority to the British firm of C. A. Parsons; and, in view of recent actions taken against British interests by the United States Government in similar circumstances, what further action he proposes to take to safeguard British interests in this matter.
§ Sir D. EcclesI have no reason to suppose that the award is not firm.
