asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what assistance is being given by his Department in the promotion of trade and other exchanges between the United Kingdom and Eastern Germany.

Promotion of trade is a matter for my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade. I am not aware of any other exchanges.
