HC Deb 18 February 1959 vol 600 c64W
110. Mr. E. Johnson

asked the Minister of Defence whether, in view of the decision of the Cyprus Government to pay compensation to the relatives of two Greek Cypriots who died as a result of injuries received while resisting arrest during the round-up after the murder of Mrs. Cutliffe, he will now make a grant to the parents of British Service men murdered in Cyprus, who wish to bring their sons' bodies home for burial, to help them to defray the cost.

Mr. Sandys

The arrangements for the payments of grants to next-of-kin towards funeral expenses were set out in the reply I gave to the hon. Member for East Ham, North (Mr. Prentice) on 3rd December last.
