asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the Cairo financial agreement, explaining the reasons why there is continued delay in the signing of the final agreement.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is yet in a position to make a statement on the Anglo-Egyptian financial agreement.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will now make a statement on the Anglo-Egyptian negotiations.

I am not yet in a position to make any statement on the Anglo-Egyptian Financial Agreement. On the subject of the reasons for the delay in the signature of this agreement, I have nothing to add to the reply given to the hon. Member for Orkney and Shetland (Mr. Grimond) on 4th February by my hon. Friend the Economic Secretary.
