§ Mr. R. ThompsonA new admission and treatment unit with two convalescent villas have just been completed at a cost of £380,000. Four other schemes including engineering work, occupational therapy facilities and ancillary ward services are in progress or planned for the next two years, costing approximately £120,000. The Regional Hospital Board is planning later to undertake a further modernisation scheme estimated to cost £¾ million. But no date for this has yet been decided on.
§ Mr. Owenasked the Minister of Health how many patients are at St. George's Hospital, Morpeth, at the nearest convenient date; and the ratio of patients to the existing hospital nursing staff.
