Mr. Moss

asked the Attorney-General, in view of the increase in fast motor traffic in recent years, what consideration he has given to paragraph 5 of the Report of the Goddard Committee on Civil Liability for Damage done by Animals, dated January, 1953; and what is his conclusion.

The Attorney-General

The recommendation to which the hon. Member refers is one of a number of proposals involving legislation made by the Committee, and it would only be practicable to deal with them as a whole. Some of the recommendations are controversial, and I cannot hold out any hope of legislation at the present time.
