HC Deb 10 February 1959 vol 599 c168W
Mr. Woodburn

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what provision is now to be made for farms over 150 acres which lose Marginal Agricultural Production assistance and which may yet require assistance to prevent them going out of use.

Lord John Hope

As already announced, these farms are to receive Marginal Agricultural Production grant for a further year. They can also take advantage of the other forms of assistance available and of the strong demand for store stock and my right hon. Friend does not think there is any danger of them going out of use.
