HC Deb 10 February 1959 vol 599 c187W
90. Mrs. Mann

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, in view of the Bowes recommendations regarding the Union, Forth and Clyde, and Monk-land Canals, and as these canals are considered a danger to life and a menace to public health by the Commission, if he will treat the report as a matter of urgency.

Mr. Watkinson

I know that some canals should be dealt with as soon as possible, and the Government's proposals, which I hope to announce very shortly, will take this into account.
