56 and 57. Mr. Grey

asked the Prime Minister (1) the names of the trade union leaders with whom he had informal discussions concerning the problem of unemployment during his recent official tour of the North-East;

(2) the number of occasions at which informal discussions took place concerning the problem of unemployment during his recent official tour of the North-East.

Since the discussions were, as the hon. Gentleman realises, informal, no attempt was made to keep a record either of the names of the people with whom I spoke or of the subjects I discussed with them.
