asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the cost to public funds till now of the Council on Personal Incomes, Prices and Productivity; and whether, in the interests of economy, he will now wind up this organisation.

67. Mr. Chapman

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will take the opportunity offered by the resignation of Sir Dennis Robertson to wind up the Council on Personal Incomes, Prices and Productivity.

Mr. Erroll

Up to 31st December, 1958, the total cost was £11,692. The Government are not contemplating the winding up of the Council.
