§ 162. Mr. Gowerasked the Postmaster-General what steps he will take to expedite the completion of the new automatic telephone exchange for the Whitchurch and Rhiwbina areas of Glamorgan.
§ Mr. K. ThompsonInstallation of equipment in the new exchange began last October. We have found from experience that for an exchange of this size, 15 months is a reasonable period for installation and testing the equipment. I doubt whether we can improve on this timetable, but I will look into the possibility.
