asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what financial aid has been promised for the State of Somalia in 1960.

Mr. R. Allan

Her Majesty's Government have offered, subject to Parliamentary approval, to contribute £100,000 a year in economic aid, beginning when Somalia attains independence in 1960. The Government of Somalia have accepted this offer.
