§ Mr. Prenticeasked the Minister of Health whether he will seek powers to provide pensions for nursing staff who were transferred to the National Health Service in 1948, and for whom no superannuation scheme had been introduced by the hospital authority by whom they had been previously employed.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithI am ready to examine any practicable suggestions for dealing with this problem but do not consider that the use of public funds would be justified.
