asked the Minister of Works how many more lockers and desks have been provided for hon. Members since the publication of the reports of the Select Committee on Accommodation, and at what points in the House.

Since the Select Committee on Accommodation reported in 1954, 36 more desks have been provided at the request of the authorities of the House. They are distributed as follows:

Upper Committee Corridor Room 1, 18.

Upper Committee Corridor Room 3, 14.

Upper Committee Corridor Room 9, 1.

Upper Committee Corridor Room 10, 3.

This has brought the total number of desks in the Upper Committee Corridor Rooms to 72. No additional lockers have been provided, but 67 of the 72 desks are now of the pedestal type, containing filing space.
