§ 113. Mr. Snowasked the Minister of Power whether he is aware of the fault which has developed in a cooling tower of novel design at present being constructed by the Central Electricity Generating Board under the capital development plan, and the consequent reconstruction involved, details of which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for Lichfield and Tamworth; and what special provision he makes for the possibility of frustrated expenditure when giving capital sanction to projects of this nature.
§ Mr. WoodThe major construction projects of the Central Electricity Generating Board are carried out by contracting firms which are responsible, under the normal contractual arrangements, for correcting faults such as the one to which my attention has been drawn. No special provision is needed, therefore, in the Board's capital investment programme.
