§ Sir D. EcclesThe improvement of the application of science in industry is the concern of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research which already advises my noble Friend in this field, and is itself advised by its own committees. Its current work covers the D.S.I.R. research stations, research grants in the universities and colleges of advanced technology, research associations, D.S.I.R. interests in the field of economics, the development of research results, and technical information services for industry.
