§ 83. Mr. Swinglerasked the Minister of Defence if he will consider the introduction of special concessionary air mail rates for letters and parcels passing between Service men stationed at Woomera, South Australia, and their families in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. SandysMembers of the forces overseas enjoy concessionary postal rates on air mail letters and on surface mail. These concessions cost the taxpayer about £1 million a year and I do not think that it would be justifiable to add to this sum.
