asked the Minister of Health the numbers of deaths attributable to influenza and chest diseases, respectively, during each of the first three months of 1959 in the Gateshead area; and how these compare with figures for 1958.

The numbers of deaths from influenza and from bronchitis and pneumonia in the County Borough of Gateshead were as follow:
