(2) what representations he has made to the Government of Jordan concerning their officially-announced boycott of British firms which trade with Israel; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. ProfumoHer Majesty's Government's disapproval of the continuing attempts to boycott British firms is well known and, as the House will recall, it has been represented on several occasions to the Arab Governments concerned. Her Majesty's Government will continue to make further representations whenever they think these would be fruitful. In the last resort, however, we cannot compel Arab countries to trade with any individual firms.
