HC Deb 20 April 1959 vol 604 c11W
90. Mr. Leavey

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance what new factors have come to light during his consideration of the representations he has received on the subject of entitlement to unemployment benefit of those who work a 5½day week as against those who work a 5-day week.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

If, as I assume, my hon. Friend has in mind the entitlement to unemployment benefit of five and five-and-a-half day week workers who are in employment for part of the week, I do not think that any new factors have come to light as a result of representations.
