§ Mr. Harold Davies
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the South-East Asia Treaty Organisation Council's approved budget estimate of $896,860 for the year 1959–60, covering the costs of civil and military headquarters, he will state the British contribution to this sum.
§ Mr. R. Allan
The British contribution to the budget of the South-East Treaty Organisation is assessed at 16 per cent. Our share of the total of $896,860 is, therefore, 5143,49760, which is equivalent approximately to £51,250.
