HC Deb 26 November 1958 vol 596 cc37-8W
34. Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware of the revival of an anti-Semitic campaign in the Berlin-Wilmersdorf district; and, as this is in the British-controlled sector, what action he has taken, or proposes to take, to prevent this resurgence of anti-Semitism.

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

The hon. Gentleman has already brought to my right hon. and learned Friend's attention a report about a display of anti-Jewish slogans in a part of the British sector of Berlin. This display is under investigation by the West Berlin Police. As the hon. Gentle- man knows, my right hon. and learned Friend considers a recurrence of this sort of thing to be deplorable and he is having his own inquiries made.
