67. Mr. Wileyasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action he has taken pursuant to the recommendations of the Arton Wilson Committee; and what changes and economies they have effected.
§ Mr. GodberThe decisions announced in the reply given to the hon. Member on 2nd August, 1956, have been implemented. The whole of the Ministry's regional organisation has been overhauled. As a result there has been a net saving of about 500 staff and £250,000 a year in salaries and overheads despite the addition of new work since that time.
