29. Mr. Sparks

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what special steps he proposes to take to ensure that the roadways of the country are capable of carrying at reasonable speeds the heavy increase of vehicular traffic anticipated.

Mr. Watkinson

The steps I have already taken and will continue to take are to ensure that the road programme is the biggest that the resources of the country can afford.
