HC Deb 12 November 1958 vol 595 c34W
41. Mr. Wingfield Digby

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what plans he has made or has approved for providing dual carriageways or three traffic lanes on A.30 and A.303, in view of the fact that these roads are chiefly two-lane only, making overtaking dangerous on many winding sections of the roads.

Mr. Nugent

Our plans for the future provide that the whole trunk route to the south-west should have either dual two-lane carriageways or a three-lane carriageway, but I cannot yet say when all these works will be given a place in our programme.
