§ Mr. R. A. ButlerNineteen persons were arrested in the vicinity of St. Pancras Town Hall. Ten were charged with obstructing the police, four with using insulting words, two with using threatening behaviour, two with insulting behaviour, and one with assault on the police and obstructing the police.
68. Mrs. Jegerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many police in addition to the normal strength were on duty in St. Pancras on 1st May.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerBetween 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. on 1st May a total of 142 police officers of all ranks were specially employed in the vicinity of St. Pancras Town Hall or held in reserve.
