§ Mr. BevinsThe survey has been completed and outline schemes have been suggested for improving the appearance of twelve spoil heaps selected from coalfields other than the West Riding. Similar schemes are being suggested by the West Riding County Council. The improvements include levelling of prominent features, grading of slopes and planting. My right hon. Friend is arranging to discuss the schemes with his noble Friend the Minister of Power and the National Coal Board and he hopes to make a statement after these discussions
