asked the President of the Board of Trade what recommendations he received from the Cinematograph Films Council before he decided to make no change in exhibitors' quota requirements for the year commencing 1st October, 1958.

None. My right hon. Friend consulted the Cinematograph Films Council but their view was that they should make no recommendation because of the uncertainties about the future of Government action affecting the volume of British film production.
