§ Mr. Mossasked the Minister of Education to what extent his policy in relation to the provision of classes for patients in mental deficiency hospitals is still governed by Circular 312, dated 11th September, 1956, and called "The Education of Patients in Hospital" and, particularly, by paragraphs 33 and 34 of that circular.
§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydThe policy stated in Circular 312 continues to be my policy. As the Parliamentary Secretary explained in his Answer on 19th June, I shall be considering the scope of local education authorities' powers in consultation with my right hon. and learned Friend the Minister of Health.
