§ 73. Mr. Ridsdale
asked the Secretary to the Treasury how many cases are still outstanding with the War Damage Commission; and what steps are being taken to expedite settlements, such as in the case of 6, Park Road, Dovercourt.
§ Mr. Simon
Up to the end of June, 1958, the Commission had received 4,654,560 claims for cost of works and 167W 187,492 for value payments, of which 1,275 and 1,886 respectively were outstanding. It is not possible to say how many further claims are still to be made, as this does not depend on the Commission.
With regard to the second part of the question, the hon. Member has recently written to me again about 6, Park Road, Dovercourt, and I will reply to him by letter.
