§ Sir A. Bossomasked the President of the Board of Trade what action he has taken in response to the application made to him substantially to increase the import duty on lettuce.
§ Sir D. EcclesI announced on 12th February that we had received an application for an increase in the import duty on lettuce and endive during the period 1st March to 31st May. Numerous representations have been made in response to this announcement, and these are being considered.
