§ 86. Mr. Elwyn Jonesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the anxieties expressed in the Report of the Council of the Central After-Care Association for the year 1956 that the police function which the society had to perform in order to give effect to the provisions of Section 29 of the Prison Act, 1952, was prejudicing the relationship of the society to the discharged prisoner, he will alter this procedure.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerI have invited the Advisory Council on the Treatment of Offenders to consider this matter and to let me have its views on it.
