United Kingdom exports of the main products of the linen industry in 1955, 1956 and 1957 were valued at £18.8 million, £18.3 and £17.9 million, respectively. Of these, it is estimated that over 80 per cent. was produced in Northern Ireland and about 15 per cent. in Scotland.
