§ 40. Mr. Teelingasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what arrangements are made concerning mainland Chinese who apply for permits to enter Hong Kong and who wish to go on to Formosa; and to what extent Her Majesty's Government or the Hong Kong Government are in touch on this matter with United Nations officials or with Formosa.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydNo mainland Chinese has applied for transit facilities through Hong Kong with the stated object of going to Formosa. It has, therefore, not been necessary for the Hong Kong Government to make any arrangements, and there is no contact between Her Majesty's Government or the Hong Kong Government and United Nations officials or Formosa on this matter.
