§ Mr. Walker-SmithThe provisional figure for notifications of paralytic poliomyelitis in 1957 is 3,172. The other information is not available exactly in the form requested but to 30th June the provisional number of deaths assigned to acute poliomyelitis was 52 and out of 2,497 cases of paralytic poliomyelitis notified to 30th September. 1.650 were children under 15.
