Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Minister of Education what he estimates would be the approximate additional annual cost involved in expanding by 50 per cent. the present programme of State-aided technical education.
§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydExpenditure by the Ministry and local education authorities on technical education, excluding capital expenditure, is expected to be about £46 million in the current year. Under the current programme of expansion, it will rise to about £57 million in 1960–61, and further in subsequent years.
