§ 111. Mr. Hamiltonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty how many houses are owned by his Department in Scotland; how many in Fife; and by how much he is intending to raise the rents of such houses in the immediate future.
§ Mr. GalbraithThe Admiralty owns 1,581 civilian-occupied houses in Scotland of which 1,201 are in Fife. The following rent increases are proposed:
Houses Under 3s. 6d. a week increase 650 Between 3s. 6d. and 7s. 6d. a week increase 595 Between 7s. 6d. and 10s. a week increase 115 Between 10s. and. 15s..a.week increase 59 Between 15s. and 25s. a week increase 23 The remaining houses are occupied by key workers and the rents of these are under consideration.
