§ 98. Mr. Ronald Bellasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation how many collisions in the air involving a civil aeroplane have taken place in the United Kingdom in each of the last five years, to the last convenient date.
§ Mr. WatkinsonDuring the five years ending on 30th November, 1958, there were four such accidents; two in 1956 and two in 1958. These collisions did not involve public transport aircraft.
§ 99. Mr. Ronald Bellasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will state the number of occasions during the last three years in which a British civil aircraft has been involved in a collision in the air outside the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. WatkinsonOne only. This was the unfortunate accident near Nettuno in Italy on the 22nd October, 1958, in which a B.E.A. Viscount and an Italian military aircraft collided.
