asked the Secretary of State for Air how much, in the last accounting year, was paid to the British Transport Commission in respect of fares for officers and other ranks of the Royal Air Force and Women's Royal Air Force travelling on free warrants in the British Isles.

In the financial year 1957–58 the cost of warrants for leave travel was about £900,000.
